Our Team.

In collaboration, Rainier Beach Link2Lake, Serve Ethiopians Washington, yəhaw̓ Indigenous Creatives Collective, Cascadia Poetics LAB, and Ashley Townes, a fisheries scientist from Eco Research Collab and the University of Washington's School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences, are dedicated to enhancing salmon recovery efforts in the WRIA 8 watershed, with a focus on Mapes Creek in the Rainier Beach neighborhood. Our partnership leverages a diverse range of knowledge, expertise, perspectives, and resources. We are committed to not only restoring vital salmon habitats but also to fostering community engagement and education. Our goal is to create meaningful connections within the community and to explore collaborative opportunities for events that promote environmental awareness and action. Together, we strive to make a significant impact on the ecosystem and the local community by ensuring a sustainable future for the area's natural resources.
